Cycle Path of the Ligurian Riviera
Hotel Riviera dei FIori, 4-star hotel in Imperia Liguria is a strategic place for those planning to spend a holiday dedicated to health and sport. In fact, the Hotel is situated in a lucky position also for bicycle lovers, being right next to the Cycle Path, the pride of the Ligurian Riviera.
The cycle path of the Coastal Park of the Ponente Ligure is one of the longest in the Mediterranean: with its 24 km entirely flat, it is accessible by pedestrians and cyclists.
The cycle path was born on the coastal path of the old railway, between San Lorenzo al Mare and Ospedaletti, dismantled in 2001 and moved upstream, and follows virtually the entire coast between sea, rocks, coves, flowering shrubs, watch towers and ancient villages.
Two comfortable lanes for cyclists in both directions flank the path reserved for pedestrians. The track has been subdivided, for convenience, into 5 sections, but covering it results in practice without interruption, except for a couple of temporary braces that will soon be removed.
